The Siberian Chapter members are interested in geological and mineralogical studies of wide range of ore deposits such as Au-Ag, Cu-Mo porphyry, magmatic Cu-Ni-(PGE), carbonatite, IOCG etc.

The purpose of this association is organization of international cooperation between scientists who deal with ore geology, mineralogy and geochemistry. We organize scientific lectures and field trips to the mineral deposits for Siberian students and schoolchilds interested in geology. And we share knowledge with them to inspire young scientists to love Geology.

Based on the cooperation of the Novosibirsk State University and the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy the geological association named "Crystal" was formed for students, young scientists and people fascinated in Geology. There is also a museum of incredibly beautiful mineral crystals there. Currently, this society is headed by SGA members who was ones of organizers SGA Siberian Student Chapter.
